Welcome to my website, where I am recording the restoration of a Jeffrey IIIB racing car dating from about 1970 to enter Class C of the Historic 750 Formula of the 750 Motor Club. The car was bought as a rolling chassis. I also bought a Reliant Rialto for its 850cc engine.

The early history of the car is not known. During the 1970s the chassis of the car was shortened, with the position of the engine moved from front and centre (like a Lotus Seven) to a position to the left of the driver, the format that most Class C cars follow today. The first stage of the project was to strip the car to a bare chassis and have the Roll Over Protection System (ROPS) brought up to current Motor Sport UK (MSUK) standards. This work was carried by Jo White of Vulcan Dezigns in Bicester. Comparison of the two images above shows that the roll bar has been raised and two forward braces have been added in addition to a diagonal brace. Jo also made a number of repairs and other modifications to the chassis, including overhauling the suspension pickup points and fabrication of engine and gearbox mounts.

On this web site I am also recording what's happening with my classic fleet. Use the menu bar above to explore.
